Notes 'from the road'

Piston Distillery - 4th July 2026

To help celebrate the 4th July we headed to Piston Distillery ( https://www.pistondistillery.com/ ), where Craig and his great team had setup a fantastic evening for everyone. With the cocktails flowing (sadly not for the band), everyone seemed to have a lot of fun in a sultry evening by Diglis basin. Heartily recommend giving this place a visit. Tune of the Night? Had to be 'John Law Burned Down the Liquor Sto' - a Chris Thomas King Blues stomper in open G https://open.spotify.com/track/12qF237bQ06aUCNEBtM5ps?si=aaa8f0a67ae4431d

The Drum & Monkey, Upton - 16th July 2026

On the eve of the Upton Blues Festival, we were invited to play at the Drum & Monkey, a lovely pub and a popular camping spot for festival-goers. A warm evening with a laid back crowd getting ready for the next few days of partying, we really enjoyed ourselves and it was great to see some familiar faces in the audience.

Rock n Ribs 2026, Somerset - 19th July 2026

We hit the M5 early on Sunday to get down to a slot on the 'Jailhouse Rock' stage at this 3 day American themed family-friendly festival in Somerset. Really nice people and very well setup, played for a couple of hours and then had a beer and some ribs...not a bad way to spend a Sunday! Highly recommended https://rocknribsfestival.co.uk/. Oh and I even broke a string, so I must have been enjoying it.

The Talbot, Ledbury - 23rd September 2026

With a lot of local music going on this weekend (Bush Blues festival and Malvern Rocks) it was great to see a good turnout at the friendly Talbot in Ledbury. The sun just keeps shining this summer and we had a great time playing for a warm and receptive audience. Tune of the day? We had a go at 'Blue Side of the Mountain' by the Steeldrivers, I think we'll keep it in the set! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hVa-d2zq-I
